Born and raised in the Bay Area, HK brings an unparalleled style and sound to alternative hip hop. HK first started writing raps at the age of 16 and what started as a hobby quickly turned in to a passion. In 2000, he teamed up with Epedos and Fritz, forming Likuid Kerage, rapping under the name Xakt. The group performed at local venues and recorded a self-titled album before deciding to pursue separate projects.

hkOver the next few years, HK focused on sharpening his skills not only as a rapper but as a producer, eventually partnering up with Major Knocks Productions in 2004. Two years later, HK joined forces with Glue EMCEE, Randolph Scott, and Robbie Catalina, forming the rap group appropriately named Rap Force. The group recorded an album and despite not having a release date planned for late 2010, Rap Force has already gained notoriety not just locally, but internationally.

hkFor HK's latest project, he has teamed up with Glue EMCEE and Big Reed set to release their long awaited debut LP, Sex As A Weapon, by Summer 2009. The sound of this album is different and fresh, featuring collaborations with Randolph Scott, Tekpot, and Fritzoe. With the title track "Sex As A Weapon" as well as smash hits "Leavin'" and "Not Available", it is clear that HK knows no bounds lyrically, serving up a harsh dose of reality with a facetious twist. His lyrics are laced with witty wordplay laid over uniquely blended hip hop beats. This album is guaranteed to leave you wanting more from this up-and-coming artist.
